I wish to formally respond to your demonic diatribe, wicked falsehoods, innuendoes, and malicious attacks on the great shepherd of our diocese, Most Rev Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji and others. It is most unfortunate that you, who, a few years ago, out of your own will, committed both social and religious suicide, are now doing all you can to drag down to the pit of destruction the good names of the shepherd of our diocese and a host of other innocent people. Guess what! You will no longer get away with your demonic antics!
I know you are a self-confessed demon having adopted “Amadioha” - the wicked demon, as your middle name during your seminary days. But I, Fr David Asonye Ihenacho, have vowed and offered myself to be the exorcist that will cast your demon out of the affairs of Ahiara Diocese.
Wrestling you, a mobile demon, without conscience and class, is bound to be risky. I sure will get really dirty in the process. But I am willing to take the chance just to take you down and out of our diocese.
One thing is certain. By the end of this battle you and the demon behind your satanic activities will be cast out forever from the affairs of Ahiara Diocese. Both you and the swine your demon has taken possession of in our diocese will race down the cliff to drown in the ocean of treachery and falsehoods.

Introduction
It is absolutely disheartening to have to endure over and over again unending barrage of bare-faced lies, defamations, slanders, malice, innuendoes, brazen dishonesty and vendetta unjustly visited on a very innocent and decent servant of God, Most Rev Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, sent by God and the Holy Father, Pope Francis, to lift the great Diocese of Ahiara Mbaise from dust back to her feet. It is extremely unfortunate that Adolphus Amadi Azuogu, who sometimes describes himself as a Christian, a former Catholic priest and “a bona fide member of Ahiara Diocese” has opted to be serving as a satanic agent completely dedicated to destroying the reputation of a great shepherd who is making some huge personal sacrifices to rescue the Church in Ahiara Diocese. And sadly dumbfounding is the fact that this pitiable ingrate called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu, who got all the help he needed to be what he is today from the treasures of the Catholic Church has turned around to try to destroy the very institution that made him. Ingratitude hardly ever gets viler than this!
But much more shocking and ironic is the fact that there appear to be some priests of Ahiara Diocese who are secretly working and collaborating with this strange fellow whose sole mission is ultimately to bring them down to the despicable level where he now languishes as a canonically censured and self-excommunicated person having foolishly, faithlessly and shamelessly abandoned the Catholic priesthood to contract an illegal and illegitimate marriage with a hapless nun in perpetual vows without any recourse whatsoever to the Church’s canonical processes of laicization and dispensation. And that makes it even more tragic that some priests and lay faithful of Ahiara Diocese are not able to decipher the hidden agenda and diabolic machinations of this demonic figure aimed primarily at destroying the Catholic Church both in Mbaise land and in Nigeria as a whole.
It is very unfortunate that any priest or any lay faithful of Ahiara Diocese would fail to understand the game-plan of this notoriously malevolent individual lacking in morality and credibility. It seems unthinkable that there is any true Mbaise person who does not know the unfortunate history of this impostor-turned false defender of the people of Mbaise. It is glaringly clear that the only goal intended by the self-excommunicated [latae sententiae] Adolphus Amadi Azuogu with his chainlike malicious and defamatory essays attacking the leaders of the Catholic Church in Nigeria is to gradually stifle and eventually extirpate Catholicism in Mbaise land so as to replace it with a wishy-washy type of Christianity that could allow him return to his former role as an impostor priest.
Most Rev Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji
Most Reverend Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, PhD, DD, Bishop of Umuahia Diocese and Apostolic Administrator of Ahiara Diocese is a very decent man of proven integrity, knowledgeable, and wise; a man of unquestionable abilities and unimpeachable character. He is a very hardworking shepherd, an efficient and indefatigable administrator, a very prudent leader who is patiently, methodically and systematically turning the fortunes of Ahiara Diocese around. His very short apostolate here in Ahiara Diocese has restored the joy of the people of Mbaise.
Bishop Ugorji is a great blessing to Ahiara Diocese. He is well on his way towards returning the diocese to her former state of glory. Whatever Satan or his agent says about him is exactly the opposite of who he is and what he stands for. The devil is the father of lies and can never be trusted to tell the truth. As far as Ahiara Diocese is concerned, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is an agent of the devil. His allegations against the Apostolic Administrator, Bishop Lucius Ugorji, are a classic example of the utterances of a satanic agent. Everything he says is a lie!
In view of his great sacrifices in Ahiara Diocese, Bishop Ugorji does not deserve the wicked vile, invectives and satanic lies being spread about him by a profoundly deranged, shameless and self-destroyed man of incredible disrepute called Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu. Bishop Ugorji has done exceptionally well within the short period he has been serving as Apostolic Administrator of Ahiara Diocese. He has worked extremely hard to bridge the unfortunate disunity and chasm created by the prolonged bishopric crisis in Ahiara Diocese.
In spite of the false image the dishonorable and deplorable Adolphus Amadi Azuogu unfairly paints about the great Bishop Ugorji, a clear majority of the Ahiara diocesan faithful, both priests and lay people applaud him greatly for his great accomplishments along the lines of peace and reconciliation of the different segments of the diocese and for restoring the faith of the people in the Catholic Church. His ministry in the last eight months has restored hope and joy to the highly traumatized people of Ahiara Diocese. The attack of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu and his collaborators on this selfless and self-sacrificing shepherd who is working tirelessly to rebuild Ahiara Diocese is totally unjustifiable and uncharitable to the core. Such unchristian attacks on an innocent shepherd of his flock have only one source or origin, namely, the devil. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu and his cohorts have made themselves veritable instruments of the devil to try to destroy an innocent shepherd who is daily sacrificing himself for his flock.
Bishop Ugorji’s philosophy in his apostolate in Ahiara Diocese is very simple and straightforward. The injury caused by the crisis must be helped to heal rapidly and completely. The priests and lay faithful of Ahiara Diocese must reconcile with one another for there to be any meaningful progress in the diocese. And peace must reign in Ahiara Diocese once again, he insists.
In every sermon or conference he gives, Bishop Ugorji harps on the need for Ahiara diocesan Presbyterium to become one again. There should be no victor and no vanquished, he maintains. He has continued to exhort that the two opposing groups of the Ahiara Presbyterium that emerged as a result of the crisis meld together once again. His philosophy has reflected in every policy he has put in place since the beginning of his apostolate in the diocese. In assigning duties, he does his best to actualize his philosophy of maintaining a good balance between the two camps that arose as a result of the crisis.
But unfortunately there are a few priests and lay people apparently under the fiendish spell of agent Adolphus Amadi Azuogu, who find it hard to key into the philosophy of Bishop Ugorji. They tend to have a winner-take-all mentality. They want to dictate who is assigned what in the new dispensation of the diocese. Their chief target is Fr Jude Uwalaka, the new chancellor and secretary of the diocese, who aligned himself with Bishop Okpalaeke during the crisis insisting that he was doing so in obedience to the Church. These few priests insist that Fr Uwalaka must vacate his position as chancellor/secretary for peace to reign in Ahiara Diocese. Members of this group usually serve as moles relaying information to the satanic agent Adolphus Amadi Azuogu to use in maligning the leaders of the Catholic Church working for the restoration of peace and progress in Ahiara Diocese.
A Sad Development Indeed!
One cannot but be outraged with the turn of events in the beautiful diocese of Ahiara Mbaise. How did we get to this point in which a disgraced and deranged ex-priest who is shamelessly living with deadly sins now commands the allegiance of some priests of Ahiara Diocese? Who has cast this wicked spell on our priests? And must we continue to keep quiet and allow him to go on rampaging and destroying the hard-earned reputation of church dignitaries sent on a rescue mission to our diocese?
There is no doubt that Adolphus Amadi Azuogu has exploited the silence of the majority of priests and lay faithful of Ahiara Diocese to wreak havoc in the lives of innocent people. He has left in his trails mountains of wreckages of destroyed images of innocent leaders of the Church whose only sin was that the Holy Father sent them over to Mbaise land to help the beautiful diocese of the Mbaise people regain its footing so as to blossom again. Majority in Ahiara Diocese tolerated his satanic ways because they could ill-afford a divided camp as the struggle for justice raged.
But now that God has shown the people of Ahiara Diocese His great mercy through the agency of the very merciful Pope Francis, can we continue to tolerate the tragically satanic ways of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu that are costing many innocent people their hard-earned lives and reputation? The answer has to be a CAPITAL NO! Adolphus Amadi Azuogu has completely outlived his usefulness in Ahiara Diocese. He must now be shown the exit door so as to allow our long-suffering diocese to have some peace and tranquility.
After nearly eight years of continuous trauma Mbaise people need to heal. They deserve a break from crisis of any sort. And to achieve this, satanic agents like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu must be banished from her affairs. This is a task that must be done. It is the new struggle that we are launching with this refutation. The satanic Adolphus Amadi Azuogu must be soundly defeated and banished from the affairs of Ahiara Diocese. Whatever it will take to do it, we will go the whole nine yards!
In the present moment of Ahiara Diocese, a satanic agent like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu has no place whatsoever. The truth is with the great mercy granted the people of Ahiara Diocese by the Holy Father Pope Francis, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu has found himself at the losing end. He had become irrelevant once again. But he is not taking it kindly. His whole importance and dignity in Mbaise land which derived and depended solely on the continuation of the crisis in the diocese suddenly evaporated with the merciful pronouncement of the Holy Father. On that haloed February 19, 2018, the Holy Father called the battle in favour of all Mbaise people Adolphus Amadi Azuogu immediately ceased to be relevant. He automatically returned to his former pariah life of perennial depression.
But like the devil he represents, he has chosen to fight back so as to regain his lost glory. No one should lose sight of the great dividends the crisis brought to Adolphus Amadi Azuogu when he appropriated to himself the title “defender of the people of Mbaise land” [Agu na-eche Mba Ndi Mbaise]. For the very first time, he was able to return home with a straight face and in fact he was accorded a hero’s welcome after many years had passed since he eloped with a reverend sister and fled to the United States of America to hide and live out his pariah life.
But when he returned home during penultimate Christmas some of his clients from Mbaise waited for him at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport Owerri, where he was given a hero’s welcome. Some priest-friends of his feasted him and provided him foodstuff all through the period of the Christmas holidays. And a young priest was detailed to chauffeur him around. That was the celebrity treatment he was given when he visited home the last time, which was a far cry from the shame and humiliation with which he stole away to the United States some years back. Obviously he wants his hero’s treatment back. And he wants to get it back at the expense of the Catholic Church in Mbaise land. That will never happen. He must be disgraced out of the affairs of Ahiara Diocese.
Being treated like a hero was one of the great dividends the crisis in Ahiara Diocese had bequeathed to this impostor of a human being. But he would lose all that after the pronouncement of the Holy Father. So he wants his ill-gotten glory back. This is what this new barrage of shameful attacks on the Apostolic Administrator of Ahiara Diocese is all about. As an evil genius, Amadi Azuogu is manipulating the whole situation to his own advantage. He has a goal in view to accomplish. Only the gullible and uncritical are deprived of the wisdom to decipher his intentions. He believes that the more he attacks bishops who in the crisis were largely seen as “oppressors” of the people of Mbaise land, even though falsely so, the more he becomes very popular among his clients in Mbaise.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu loves to be hailed as a hero in Mbaise land. He wants to be seen as Nnamdi Kanu Ndi Mbaise. He calls himself Agu na-eche Mba Ndi Mbaise which should be interpreted as Ikemba Ndi Mbaise. He cannot allow such noble titles he acquired by hook and crook during the crisis to be emptied of all of its meaning. He wants to make good of the titles he had acquired since the crisis began in Ahiara Diocese especially the Agu na-eche Mba title given to him at the heat of the crisis by his bosom friend, Fr Anthony Nwachukwu.
And Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s strategy in his new escapade is very predictable. He wants to instigate crisis in the diocese again so as to restore his lost dignity. This is why he persists in his wicked acts of trying to destroy the lives of innocent leaders of the Church. His latest victim is Bishop Ugorji, a great shepherd who is sacrificing every ounce of his energy to try to rescue and stabilize Ahiara Diocese. But what does he get in return from the demonic agent that is Adolphus Amadi Azuogu? For his great sacrifices for the Mbaise people Bishop Ugorji is being rewarded with Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s lies, false allegations, slander, wicked innuendoes, malice and all what not. This is absolutely unfair! It calls for outright general condemnation of this agent of the devil who is persecuting God’s messenger in Ahiara Diocese.
But is it justifiable for us to continue to keep quiet in the face of these torrential lies and slander being spread about the noble Bishop Ugorji who is a great shepherd in every sense of the word both locally and internationally? If we continue our usual attitude of keeping quiet while Adolphus Amadi Azuogu prowls about destroying innocent leaders of the Church who are hard at working trying to help Ahiara Diocese rise again, it would appear that we are in support of his satanic activities. No; we are not and cannot support this fiendish character in anyway. I can testify to the fact that an overwhelming majority of the Ahiara Diocesan priests have nothing to do with the antics of the hate-spewing figure called Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu. He is totally on his own in his satanic ways. Ahiara diocesan priests in their numbers disassociated themselves from Adolphus Amadi Azuogu and his hate-filled essays attacking the leaders of the Catholic Church in Nigeria.
The reason why Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu cannot garner the support of a majority of Ahiara Diocesan priests is because he is a man with a checkered and an embarrassing history. He cannot hide from his past. He knows he has a very hopeless past that must be unmasked and factored into what he is doing right now in the post-bishopric crisis period in Ahiara Diocese. He is that fabled man who lives in a glass house but chooses to throw stones about. For him to be so hell-bent on pulling down the great edifice that is the Catholic Church of the Mbaise people cannot be a surprise to anyone who is familiar with his family and personal histories.
But all in all, what Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu has embarked on accomplishing with his demonic essays attacking innocent individuals and destroying the reputation of great shepherds sent to help Ahiara Diocese rise again is a terrible betrayal of the Mbaise people. The people of Mbaise have never been known to be this viciously accusatory and confrontational especially towards our guests and our leaders. We have never been peddlers of lies and innuendoes to achieve any goals. Rather, we are a people who fight for our rights. We fight for justice on the basis of truth and fairness. We do not fight to destroy but to build and rebuild. Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu is a stranger to the true Mbaise spirit.
The whole bishopric crisis in Ahiara Diocese was seen by many Mbaise people as a legitimate fight for our violated right as Catholics. But somewhere along the line, the opportunistic Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu, who had until then made himself a pariah in Mbaise land and in the worldwide Catholicism latched on to the crest of the crisis to manipulate it so as to acquire some credibility that would make him relevant again in Mbaise land. Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu introduced viciousness, lies, character assassination and slander into what was hitherto seen as a legitimate struggle for justice in Ahiara Diocese. And he did it for his personal agenda which we will unveil presently.
After publishing his series of distastefully slanderous and defamatory essays attacking the reputation of many personalities of the Catholic Church, Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu has almost single-handedly changed the image of the Mbaise people for the worse. Anybody who looks at Mbaise people from the prisms of Amadioha Azuogu’s essays will most certainly conclude that we are the most devilish and satanic people on planet earth.
But such a conclusion if admitted would be terribly unfair to Mbaise people. Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu is a very sick and depraved individual who is in no way representative of the cream of the great Mbaise people. It would be very unfair for anybody to judge a people with the antics and strange activities of the sickest members of that community. Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu is a sick and strange fellow. He represents only himself. His essays are a veritable proof that he is indeed sick and needs a psychiatry attention just like worshippers of the demon Amadioha [Thunder deity] which he embraces and sports as his middle name.
Highlights of Bishop Ugorji’s Apostolate In Ahiara Diocese thus Far
For anybody to understand the demonic motive of Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu and his destructive mission in Ahiara Diocese, it is important that we do a quick recap of where we are in Ahiara Diocese of today under the leadership of our new Apostolic Administrator, Most Rev Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji.
On that haloed Monday, February 19, 2018, the wonderfully merciful God brought the misery of the people of Mbaise to an end when the Holy Father, Pope Francis accepted the resignation of the controversial bishop, Peter Ebere Okpalaeke, appointed for the diocese of Ahiara Mbaise by Pope Emeritus, Benedict XVI. In the same breath The Most Rev Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, Bishop of the neighbouring diocese of Umuahia Abia State was announced as the new Apostolic Administrator of Ahiara Diocese replacing the former Apostolic Administrator of the diocese in the person of John Cardinal Onaiyekan.
The thunderous joy that greeted these announcements throughout Mbaise land was beyond telling. On their own part, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria [CBCN] who were holding their first plenary meeting for the year in Abuja were stunned when the Apostolic Nuncio read the letter from the Holy Father to them.
A the conclusion of the plenary meeting of the CBCN, on Friday February 23, 2018, the new Apostolic Administrator of the diocese, Bishop Ugorji sent word over through the chancery of Ahiara Diocese that he would want the entire diocese to immediately embark on a programme of a peaceful reconciliation beginning with the priests.
On Wednesday February 28, 2018, the priests of the diocese gathered at Maria Mater Ecclesiae Cathedral Ahiara to begin the programme of healing and reconciliation. It appeared as if the Holy Father’s announcement on February 19, 2018, had done an overnight miracle among the priests of Ahiara Diocese. All the priests of the diocese gathered to participate in the programme of reconciliation and healing which included a concelebrated Holy Mass, Rosary, Holy Hour, Penitential Service, Exhortation and Reflection.
The Rosary that opened the day of prayer and the Penitential Service that concluded it were led by Fr Romanus Ugoh and Fr Innocent Olekamma both of whom had supported the appointment of Bishop Peter Okpalaeke. The whole programme of the day of reconciliation would turn out a huge success. Photographs were taken to document what had been achieved on that very day. And the records of these events were delivered to the Apostolic Administrator which he equally transmitted to Rome.
The peace and reconciliation programme was carried out in the various parishes of the diocese on Thursday and Friday, March 1 and 2, 2018 respectively. The message of the Apostolic Administrator on the need to forgive and reconcile was delivered to the grassroots of the diocese. And parishioners everywhere began to respond positively towards it.
On Saturday, March 10, 2018, the new Apostolic Administrator, Most Rev Lucius Ugorji celebrated his inaugural mass at Mater Ecclesiae Cathedral. He was flanked during the concelebrated mass by personalities from two opposing camps of the crisis, namely Fr Austine Bernadine Ekechukwu on his right and Fr Jude Uwalaka on his left. This inaugural Mass attracted a huge crowd of joyful Mbaise people who gathered to celebrate the return of peace in the diocese. Bishop Ugorji emphasized that his first task in the diocese was to reconcile all factions and return the diocese to her former state of glory. He made his first appointment in the person of Fr Ethelbert Uwadoka as his Vicar General. Finally he urged the entire diocese to prayerfully continue on the path of peace and reconciliation.
On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, The Apostolic Administrator hosted the first Presbyterium meeting of his tenure. In that meeting he would announce his intention to massively reassign priests and to embark on sacramental administrations, installations of minor ministers and ordinations of deacons. He also announced a programme to renew and update the training of the seminarians who had spent several years waiting for their deaconate ordinations. He noted that it would not be fair to proceed to ordain such candidates deacons without building them up once again through a programme of renewal and re-orientation. According to him this programme for the renewal of the training of candidates for deaconate ordinations would last about six weeks and would include a programme of psychological evaluation of all the candidates which was the normal practice.
On the issue of finance, the administrator advised all debtors to the diocese to pay up immediately because anybody who failed to do so would not be allowed to move over to his new assignment. The payment of outstanding debts according to the Apostolic Administrator had become necessary because Ahiara Diocese owed a huge debt to the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria that could amount up to 20 to 30 Million Naira.
However, the information that Ahiara Diocese owed a huge debt to the CBCN would reignite a problem that had been agitating the minds of many priests in the diocese since the demise of Bishop Chikwe. Not a few priests of the diocese had been calling for a complete accounting of the finances of the diocese. There was fear that contributions to the diocesan secretariat had not been well managed and applied to what they were meant for. All through the period of the crisis there was a consensus among Ahiara diocesan priests not to default in any collections or contributions to the CBCN. So, when the Apostolic Administrator announced the huge debt that was owed to the CBCN by the diocese almost every priest demanded some kind of accounting of the finances of the diocese. That is to say, there had always been calls for a proper accounting of the finances of the diocese. These calls predated the arrival of Bishop Ugorji in Ahiara Diocese and the new chancery.
On Thursday, March 29, 2018, the apostolic administrator celebrated a Chrism mass in the diocese which would be the first of its kind since the eruption of the bishopric crisis. He also continued to harp on the need for the entire diocese to reconcile and be at peace.
At the beginning of May 2018, the new postings of priests in Ahiara Diocese were published to take effect from May 18. There was a lot of sadness among priests who alleged that the new postings by the Apostolic Administrator appeared lopsided and somehow skewed in favour of the minority that had wanted Bishop Okpalaeke as the bishop of Ahiara Diocese. However, sanity was made to prevail as priests were cautioned against overreacting against the first major action of the new Apostolic Administrator. Every priest was asked to sheathe his sword and give the new Apostolic Administrator the benefit of the doubt.
On May 18, 2018, the new postings took effect. All but one of the priests in the 73 parishes of the diocese joyfully moved over to their new assignments without any problem. The event was hailed throughout the diocese as a great success.
However, the anger and frustration of many priests would begin to escalate when it became obvious that the few priests that had fought on the side of Bishop Okpalaeke had not complied fully with the directive of the Apostolic Administrator that everybody must clear the debts owed by his old parish before moving into his new assignment. It appeared as if the Apostolic Administrator had given the former pro-Bishop Okpalaeke priests some kind of preferential treatment. This would not go down with the priests of the diocese. And that was how murmuring and agitation began to resurface from the different corners of the diocese.
On Thursday, May 24, 2018, I, Fr David Ihenacho, sought a private audience with the Apostolic Administrator in his office at Ahiara Diocesan Chancery. I reported to him that majority of the priests were not happy with the new postings as they appeared a little bit lopsided in favour of the former pro-Bishop Okpalaeke group. I advised him in my capacity as his former student at Bigard Memorial Seminary Enugu, that in his future actions regarding assignments of duties in the diocese he should try as much as possible to be even-handed. I also informed him that the laity of Ahiara Diocese was a more resistant group than the priests; that in assigning duties to them he should maintain parity and be even-handed. Evenhandedness and parity are the two key words for achieving peace and reconciliation in the diocese, I insisted.
The whole disquiet about the finances of the diocese would come to a head at the Presbyterium meeting that was held on June 4, 2018. The administrator was taken to task and the demand for a proper accounting of the finances of the diocese became louder. It was while the debate was going on about accounting in the diocese that the Apostolic Administrator would make a statement which Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu has been misquoting and misusing to attack him in his last two infamous essays. Bishop Ugorji had told the priests of Ahiara Diocese as an illustration that when discussions about how money was being used by the Christian Association of Nigeria in Abia State threatened to stall the progress of the association in Abia State, he, Bishop Ugorji, being the chairman at that time, had told the Abia State CAN that rather than money divide them they would better divide the money.
Bishop Ugorji made this statement to tell the priests of the diocese that monetary issues should not be allowed to stall his primary effort in the diocese which was to heal the crisis of the diocese and restore her to peace and reconciliation. He had never hidden the fact that his primary focus in the diocese was achieving complete peace and reconciliation especially among the priests and religious as the first step. But it is important to point out that all those discussions about financial accountability had practically nothing to do with Bishop Ugorji who was barely three months old in the diocese as the Apostolic Administrator when it became an issue. The priests were more or less telling Bishop Ugorji to review how the finances of the diocese were handled when there was no proper supervision of financial matters in the diocese as a result of the crisis.
The raging issues concerning financial accounting in the diocese and locations of priests would rear up their ugly heads again during the first Pastoral Council Meeting of the Diocese on June 16, 2018. Some lay people and priests expressed concern over what they thought was not going right in the diocese. Many pointed to the new assignments of priests in the diocese as not balanced. According to some of them, the postings appeared a little bit punitive against some people they described as key players during the bishopric crisis. [I, Fr David A. Ihenacho, was always presented as Exhibit A of those who had received punitive assignments in the new postings]. Responding to the concerns of people the Apostolic Administrator promised to revisit the postings of priests after the ordination of new priests in the diocese so as to look into the complaints.
By the end of June 2018, the Apostolic Administrator had completed all the outstanding installations of a backlog of candidates waiting for their diaconate ordination.
On July 26, 2018, the Apostolic Administrator ordained the first two batches of the candidates for diaconate ordination who were found to have no issues to answer. The ordination of the first eight deacons in the post-crisis era of the diocese brought enormous joy to the people of Ahiara Diocese.
The Apostolic Administrator made good his promise to administer the sacrament of confirmation to the backlog of candidates throughout the diocese that have been waiting to receive the Holy Spirit since the crisis broke out in the diocese. From July to September he administered the sacrament of confirmation in four out of the six zones of the diocese. He confirmed more than two thousand candidates during the exercise.
Towards the end of August 2018, the Apostolic Administrator held a weeklong reunion with all the senior seminarians of the diocese. During this period he met and interacted with every senior seminarian of the diocese in person. He also installed all those who were due for the various installations such as lectors and acolytes.
On October 8, 2018, the Apostolic Administrator held his third Presbyterium Meeting with the priests of Ahiara Diocese. Once again the issue of financial accounting was front and centre at the meeting. Many priests took exception to the fact that contrary to the policy announced by the Apostolic Administrator during the first Presbyterium meeting in March 2018, there were some priests allowed to continue in their new assignments without a proper accounting of their dealings in their former parishes. Also some others raised objection about the postings of priests in the diocese especially regarding those they considered to be occupying some sensitive positions at the diocesan chancery.
Once again, the Apostolic Administrator remained calm. He and a good number of contributors to the discussion asked for patience on the part of the aggrieved priests and allow time to heal everything. But there were priests who insisted on having their way on the matters. But the Apostolic Administrator stuck to his action-plan which is to continue steering the diocese towards the path of healing and reconciliation.
On October 20, 2018, the Apostolic Administrator hosted the last Pastoral Council Meeting of the year. The meeting came off very well as he announced the new executive of the Pastoral Council as well as the various committees that would help move the diocese forward. In line with his decision to be even-handed and to bring every section of the diocese together, the new executive of the Pastoral Council was made up of people from both sides of the divide.
The chairman of the council, Prof Anukam came from the camp that opposed the bishopric of Bishop Okpalaeke while his deputy came from the group that supported him. The same principle of parity and balance the Apostolic Administrator maintained in filling all the positions in the new executive of the Pastoral Council. His choices of the new officers were loudly applauded by the large crowd that had attended the inaugural meeting of the council on that day.
Responding to popular demands for accountability, the Apostolic Administrator set up the Diocesan Finance Council and charged it to order, receive and review the financial accounts of various institutions of the diocese year by year from 2010 to date. This policy was targeted at squelching agitation concerning proper accounting of the various arms of the diocese. Other committees which were announced at the pastoral council meeting included the Building Commission etc.
During that pastoral council meeting, the Administrator announced to the thunderous applause of the participants that the third and fourth batches of the candidates for the diaconate ordination who had completed their renewal trainings and gone through the programme of psychological evaluation would be ordained deacons on December 8, 2018.
However, in spite of such wonderful gestures there remained a few priests that insisted that the steps taken by the Apostolic Administrator were not enough. Their contributions to the discussions at the pastoral council caused a little misunderstanding among the crowded participants at the meeting. But their contrary views were easily drowned out by those supportive of the steps taken so far by the Apostolic Administrator.
This brief recap does not include the many other activities of the Apostolic Administrator in the Ahiara Diocese. He has attended so many other activities such as funerals, religious professions, youth conventions, to mention but a few.
All this goes to demonstrate that the Apostolic Administrator who is running his own populous Diocese of Umuahia and supervising the great Urban Diocese of Aba has paid special attention towards restoring Ahiara Diocese to peace and progress. He has been over-extending himself catering for the special needs of Ahiara Diocese. Where on earth has he gone wildly wrong to deserve these satanic invectives by Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu and his clients?
Can anything in this world justify the satanic lies and invectives being poured and spread by Adolphus Amadi Azuogu against this Apostolic Administrator who is sacrificing every bit of his personal life trying to restore Ahiara Diocese? Can anyone with a good conscience continue to stand by and watch while this devil continues on rampage destroying the lives of innocent people? He declares, “Bishop Ugorji has become the epitome of division and dichotomy in Mbaise. He has divided Ahiara Diocese ore than Bishop Okpalaeke and Cardinal Onaiyekan combined. Now, some call him ‘Bishop Divider’ because he wants to use ‘divide and rule,’ while others call him ‘Bishop Vengeance’ because once you cross path with him, Bishop Ugorji will never forgive you, notwithstanding his deceptive smile.”
Nothing this devil has said here is true of Bishop Ugorji. If anything Bishop Ugorji has become a great “uniter” of the Mbaise people and not their divider. No human being with any modicum of conscience and intelligence can sincerely state that Bishop Ugorji has divided Mbaise people in any way. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s claim here is whole and entire satanic. Bishop Ugorji is not Bishop Divider, and he is not Bishop Vengeance as he has inflicted no harm on anybody since coming on board in Ahiara Diocese.
The only “crime” Bishop Ugorji has committed against the clients of the satanic agent called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is that he is trying his very best to close the gap and bring to unity the two factions that emerged during the bishopric crisis in the diocese. For those who are hiding behind this satanic agent and who have rented him as their mouthpiece, Bishop Ugorji should banish completely from the diocese all those who supported the appointment of Bishop Okpalaeke. For them the former pro-Bishop Okpalaeke priests must be deposed or even defrocked for peace to return to Ahiara Diocese.
The question has remained both for the Administrator and the priests of the diocese; on what basis should the pro-Bishop Okpalaeke group be so treated? Are they not entitled to the dictates of their consciences just like those who opposed Bishop Okpalaeke? Who has the right to play God in such a dicey situation? It is because of this foolish and unrealistic demand of some priests that Bishop Ugorji is being castigated and called names by a few members of the clergy in Ahiara Diocese. My prayer is that we do not get themselves into real troubles in the long run. I pray that we do not abuse the magnanimity of the Holy Father who mercifully rescued us from a potential disaster.
“Forensic Auditing”
Quite typical of Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu and his opportunistic style of dabbling into the affairs of Ahiara Diocese, he latched onto the general thirst for accountability in the diocese and turned it into what he describes as demand of the Ahiara Presbyterium for a forensic auditing of the bishops that have been associated with the diocese since 2010. Nothing could be further from the truth. No priest from Ahiara Diocese has ever demanded that any bishop connected to the diocese be audited. The diabolic Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu is doing this on purpose to put up a wedge between the bishops and the priests of Ahiara Diocese.
Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu turned a long-standing desire of the Ahiara Presbyterium for an honest accounting of the finances of the diocese following the vacuum created by Bishop Chikwe’s death into a witch-hunt for the bishops he is eager to bring down.
The truth is since 2010 there has been a desire and in fact a clamour coming from the priests themselves for a comprehensive accounting of the assets and liabilities of the diocese. This arose out of a general concern about how the finances of the dioceses were being handled especially during the crisis.
The former Board of Consultors that was running the diocese on an interim basis was being confronted every now and then to order a full accounting of every department of the chancery. Every department of the diocese was operating independently. The Education Board was a lord onto itself. The health sector was not accountable to anyone. The chancery was doing whatever it liked. There was no general oversight over anything happening in the diocese especially with regard to the diocesan finances. It was because the former Board of Consultors was largely ineffective and could not order such a comprehensive accounting that many priests stopped paying their debts to the diocese through the chancery office.
The hunger for a general accounting of every aspect of the diocesan finances has been there long before the arrival of the present Apostolic Administrator. This was not directed at the bishops but at the heads of the different departments running the diocese when there was no longer a proper supervision of the diocese.
During the Presbyterium meeting of October 8, 2018, the Apostolic Administrator was helped to realize that there was a serious need for a thorough accounting of the finances of the diocese since 2010. He was asked to order the various arms of the diocese to prepare written accounts of their finances year by year from 2010 to 2018. The three groups in the diocese whose accounts were vigorously being demanded by a good number of the priests were the former Chancery of the Diocese, the Ahiara Diocesan Priests Association and the pro-Bishop Okpalaeke group.
The Apostolic Administrator would give a cautious acquiescence to the demand. And during the Pastoral Council Meeting of October 20, 2018, he announced that he had set up a diocesan finance council to supervise financial matters of the diocese. And one of the duties he assigned to the new Finance Council of Ahiara Diocese was to audit the accounts of the different parishes and the other organs of the diocese year by year from 2010 till date. And with that announcement, the Apostolic Administrator took care of one of the major concerns of the priests of Ahiara Diocese. He fulfilled their demand on him to order a comprehensive financial accounting of the different organs of the diocese.
But to show the criminal intent of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu, he refuses in his despicable essay to acknowledge that what he was asking for, namely, a forensic auditing of the accounts of the diocese had in fact been taken care of by the Apostolic Administrator during the last Pastoral Council Meeting. Rather he turned the whole demand around and claimed that the priests of the diocese were calling for a forensic auditing of the bishops that have been associated with the diocese since 2010. What a despicable nonsense! This man is a pathological liar!
There are two reasons being advanced for Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s twisting of the demands for financial accounts of the affairs of the diocese by majority of Ahiara Diocesan priests. First, his action is diversionary. He is desperate to divert attention from where there should be a legitimate accounting of the finances of the diocese. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is involved in a massive cover-up of the main targets of the demand for a thorough financial accounting in the diocese, which is specifically the people who handled the finances of the diocese since the death of Bishop Chikwe. He is trying hard to cover up the tracks of the former staff of the diocesan chancery that are leaking information and colluding with him to attack the bishops. He is shielding the real suspects in the financial mess that dogged the diocese during the crisis.
Every priest in Ahiara Diocese knows that the whole clamour for financial accounting is predicated on what was suspected to have happened at the diocesan chancery during the crisis. The huge debt the diocese is alleged to owe the CBCN could have only happened because of serious financial mismanagement at the chancery during the crisis. The staffs of the chancery are to blame for any debt owed by the diocese during the crisis. The so-called debt came about as a result of the former chancery’s recklessness with the finances of the diocese. And Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is desperate to cover them up because they are clearly the ones leaking and supplying him facts to attack the bishops. Who knows how much Adolphus Amadi Azuogu himself is profiting from the deals attacking the bishops and diverting attention from the real targets? His strategy in this regard is very obvious. He has chosen to divert attention of the probe to the bishops. It is now the bishops who are to be probed for a potential financial mismanagement at the chancery they did not have access to. This is the wisdom of a satanic agent!
Second, the main target of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is the Nigerian bishops. He wants to bring as many of them as possible down. As a result, he often embarks on a fishing expedition to find anything terrible to hang around their necks so as to discredit them. Look at the egregiously defamatory accusations he is leveling against Cardinal Onaiyekan, Bishop Okpalaeke and Bishop Ugorji. He has no scintilla of evidence to support his accusations except his diseased imaginations about what might have happened to the so-called Ahiara Diocesan accounts at the Vatican Bank. While he accuses Cardinal Onaiyekan and Bishop Okpalaeke of looting the money of the diocese deposited at the Vatican Bank, he equally accuses Bishop Ugorji of trying to cover up their so-called crimes. All this without a shred of evidence! This is absolutely mischievous!
Not tired of perfidy Adolphus Amadi Azuogu accuses the Apostolic Administrator of a crime which only he knows. He declares that “Bishop Ugorji should be audited to make sure that he is not using Ahiara Diocesan funds to pay the creditors of his bankrupt Microfinance Band and Ceramics Industry.” How much lower can this agent of the devil called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu go? You demand a forensic auditing of somebody who has not been accused of any crime because you want to make sure that he has not committed a crime. This is the stupidest demand of this agent of the evil one and could have only come from the devious mind of fiend!
The real heartbreaking aspect of this egregiously evil allegation against the Apostolic Administrator is that Bishop Ugorji has said it before the priests of Ahiara Diocese time without number in the last 8 months of his ministry in the diocese that he has not taken a dime or kobo from any diocesan accounts anywhere in the world since he began his work in the diocese. He even invited anybody who has access to those accounts to crosscheck so as to verify his claim. Where does this satanic agent get his facts to accuse this innocent shepherd of a crime he could never have committed?
Bishop Ugorji as the ordinary of Ahiara Diocese has total control over the finances of Ahiara Diocese. His responsibility over Ahiara Diocesan finances does not depend and does not need the certification of a forensic auditor. He is the diocesan bishop and the sole trustee of the entire assets of Ahiara Diocese. That somebody like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu who is living thousands of miles away in California USA takes some liberty in making some wild allegation against a decent and honest shepherd like Bishop Ugorji can only demonstrate one thing. Either the long-distance accuser is a lunatic or he is a diabolic agent. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu has to be one or both. He is sick and indeed very sick.
“Can of Worms” and “Pandora’s Box”
The deluded Amadioha Azuogu falsely claims that there is some “can of worms” and a “Pandora’s box” regarding the finances of the diocese since the death of Bishop Chikwe in 2010. That is absolutely the figment of his imagination. There is nothing near a Pandora’s Box or can of worms regarding the finances of Ahiara Diocese wherever they are kept. If they are in overseas’ banks, there are records which detail deposits and withdrawals or transactions made in each account held on behalf of the diocese. The accounts with the so-called Vatican Bank which Adophus Amadi Azuogu boasts to have some knowledge of are about the most protected of all the account holdings of the diocese. Every transaction on the accounts can easily be recalled if there is need for it. At the moment there seems to be no need for such an exercise because the person making the demand for auditing is obviously deluded. Adolpphus Amadi Azuogu is completely out of his mind boasting to know what he has zero knowledge of.
If diocesan finances are deposited with the financial administrator’s office at the diocesan chancery, there are receipts and records kept for them. What is needed and what has been ordered by the Apostolic Administrator is that details of those financial accounts and transactions in the various parishes and at the chancery of the diocese be detailed year by year from 2010 till now. This is where the diocese is now regarding accountability which had been a crucial issue in the diocese long before Bishop Ugorji became the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese.
But in his deluded imagination Adolphus Amadi Azuogu claims to be privy to some huge sums of money lying with the Vatican Bank known as Instittuto Opera Religiosa [IOR] which Cardinal Onaiyekan and Bishop Okpalaeke squandered and Bishop Ugorji is now trying to cover up their crimes. According to him, the diocesan Vatican account “contains a lot of money.” This horribly defamatory and libelous claim can only come from a dubious fellow who may be well into lots of crimes in his life. How would Adolphus Amadioha Azuogu know about a potential huge of money of Ahiara Diocese at the Vatican Bank except perhaps he is into some criminal activities?
As his profile will later suggest, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu has himself never been far from financial crimes. The problem regarding the money he raised in Germany for St Paul’s Church building Ogbe Nneisii [his supposedly home parish church] which was completely misappropriated and misapplied is still a talking point in the parish till this very day. Some of such money he allegedly used to build homes for the religious nuns he tried to seduce to elope with before he finally settled on the disoriented one he ran away with to the United States of America.
How dare this kind of a fellow who has never been known for giving a good account of the huge sums of money he raised in Germany to help the poor people in Nigeria be calling for financial accounting of the diocese on the basis of his fickle suspicion which amounts to nothing? In a civilized world, mere suspicion of a financial crime does not usually trigger what he calls “forensic auditing.” Auditing of all sorts must follow due process and some laid-down procedures. It may be routine or statutory or it is triggered by some preliminary discovery of criminal activities. None of this has happened in the case of Ahiara Diocese.
But Adolphus Amadi Azuogu persists in demanding for forensic auditing because he has a more dubious goal in view. He is after the leadership of the Nigerian Church. He has an ax to grind with them and wants to embarrass as many of them as possible in order to achieve his other motive of destroying Catholicism in Nigeria. He is a veritable devil who is looking for ways to bring down the Church of Jesus Christ in Ahiara Diocese and Nigeria as a whole. He will fail and fail woefully like those others before him who have trodden that path. But the question remains. Who is Adolphus Amadi Azuogu, a failed priest, to champion the financial affairs of Ahiara Diocese?
Misuse of Legal Terms
In his unfortunate last essay, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu appears obsessed with some particular legal lingos. But he childishly misuses them thereby ridiculing himself as somebody whose knowledge of world events is extremely limited and even questionable. Take for instance his use of such phrases or terms as “substituted service”, “legal summons”, “jury and jury pool”, “court of first instance”, “deposition”, “locus standi”, “appellate court” etc. None of these terms or lingos is appropriately used in his essay.
Take for instance, his use of legal summons. A legal summon can only be granted by a judge, a magistrate or any other judicial officer who has authority to do so. But Adolphus Amadi Azuogu flatters himself with such an authority to send some legal summons through his vile essays. He is obviously suffering from some form of a psychological disease called megalomania. He has an infatuated ego and an over-bloated image of his personal self.
Another of repeatedly misused terms is what he calls a “substituted service” which he claims to be doing with the distribution of his essays through the channel of the electronic media. This is absolutely tragic. It only shows that this self-acclaimed Professor of I-do-not-know-what has not even a pedestrian knowledge what “substituted service” and how it is ordered and delivered to respondents. What a pity!
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu has very little knowledge of what “court of first instance” and “appellate court” are about. He carelessly throws the words about without knowing their precise meanings. What a pity! Adolphus Amadi Azuogu may have some idea of what “deposition” means but he completely misuses it in his essays. This man has obviously some internal problems articulating his thoughts. He is all over the place with whatever words he latches onto. What a pity!
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu claims to have a “locus standi” to make his demand for a forensic auditing of the diocesan accounts. But in fact he has not. He is not an active member of the Catholic Church having ex-communicated himself through the choices he made in his pretended marriage to a religious in perpetual vows. He ex-communicated himself latae sententiae! He is not a member of the Presbyterium of Ahiara Diocese and is not an Mbaise Catholic in good standing. Where does he obtain his so-called “locus standi” to demand what he mischaracterizes as “forensic auditing” of the diocesan account? Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is a heretic as we will later show. Does he really know his predicament? Does he think that his part in the Ahiara crisis will lower his multitude of canonical sanctions? NO WAY!
I think the implication of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s serial misuse of legal lingos is that he is indirectly anticipating the inevitability of what awaits him down the road. Lots of huge libel and defamatory lawsuits are waiting for him and his collaborators down the road. He may likely turn out to be the most sued Mbaise person still living. I would advise him, though he can do without my advice, to sharpen and update his legal knowledge for he is likely to face some huge legal challenges down the road for his serial defamation of some innocent people who did nothing to him.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu should be well advised to start amassing some huge war chests of funds to mount a defense of himself against the troubles he has caused himself. There is no gainsaying the fact that trouble is coming his way down the road. Or, he should start early to brief those prominent Mbaise lawyers who are going to defend his indefensible slander and defamation of innocent leaders of the Catholic Church who were sent to work in the troubled diocese of Ahiara but left with their reputation completely damaged as a result of his willful activities serving as an agent of Satan against the innocent ministers of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. The delusional Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is hoping that there is a coterie of Mbaise lawyers waiting in the wings to come and defend his clearly indefensible crimes against many innocent people. He will sooner than later find out that it takes a fortune to defend an obvious crime. And that at the long run, even when all the fortune has been wasted defending the indefensible, truth prevails at last.
“I have conscience…I write on behalf of people with moral conscience”
This represents the greatest lie told by this agent of the evil one. We do not naturally associate conscience with an evil person. If there is anything Adolphus Amadi Azuogu lacks it is conscience. He cannot associate himself with conscience and morality which would be a very big lie. Though he is a congenital and pathological liar. His claim to act with conscience and morality is ludicrous. He has none of these. And so are his collaborators. Birds of the same feather flock together. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu can only represent conscienceless and immoral people because they are the only ones who could tolerate his antics and dubious ways.
How could anyone associate conscience and morality with somebody who has broken every known vow and commitment he has ever made to God and humanity without any scruples? Here was one who claimed to be a religious. He made his first and final professions with the Claretian Missionary Fathers [CMF]. Then he went ahead and presented himself for ordination as a deacon. He made commitment to God and to the Church. From there he presented himself for a priestly ordination and made similar commitments to God and the Church. But did he keep any of them? Not in the least. Has he had any regrets or shown any repentance? Absolutely No! No conscience!
Here is somebody who broke all his commitments to God and humanity without any conscience and without any morality whatsoever. He went ahead to seduce and deceive another innocent person to join him in his immoral ways. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu broke his commitments without scruples and got his illicit wife to break hers as well without any conscience. Now he is the process of trying to drag Ahiara Diocese and her priests to fall with him. How can such a hopelessly disoriented individual claim to have conscience? He has none!
Furthermore, here is somebody who claims to have conscience, but all through the time he was in Germany, he raised tons of money on behalf of the poor people of Nigeria and appeared to have misused every bit of it. How could such a dishonest individual have conscience? Here is somebody destroying innocent people’s reputation and lives with fictitious allegations. How could such a person truly claim to have conscience? If there is anything that is alien in the world of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu, it is conscience and morality. He has none of it. He is totally an evil person. Morality, conscience and evil can never go together!
How could he claim to have conscience and morality when he traveled to USA with a dishonest passport and a visa depicting him as a Catholic priest when actually he had abandoned the priesthood and got married to a nun? Can a moral person who acts according to the precepts of his conscience do that? The answer is emphatically No.
How can Adolphus Amadi Azuogu claim to have conscience when most of the titles he prides himself in are unreal and fake? Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is not a professor of any known university in USA. Let him name the college or university in the USA that has granted him tenure as to guarantee him the title of a professor. What are his landmark publications in any discipline that qualify him to be accorded the title of a professor of a responsible institution either in the USA or anywhere world? His only publication was published locally here in Owerri Imo State.
The truth is Adolphus Amadi Azuogu not a credible professor of any known discipline. He is only a “professor” in the general name of a teacher or in the manner of the late Professor Sir Warrior the musician or Prof Sir Olololo another musician who calls himself a “professor” in the banal sense. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is not a traditional title holder either. He is not Agu na-eche Mba of any known community in Mbaise. The so-called title of Agu na-eche Mba was given to him by his friend Fr Anthony Nwachukwu when he published his first attack essay entitled “Anambranization”. And as vain as he was, he immediately appropriated the empty flattery, which reveals the psychological orientation of this hopelessly flawed satanic agent.
How can he dare to claim that he acts according to conscience? Where is his conscience and where is his morality? He has none of these!
Fr Jude Uwalaka’s so-called Birth certificate forgery
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu who claims to act with conscience and morality makes a horrendous defamatory and libelous allegation against the chancellor and secretary of Ahiara Diocese, Fr Jude Uwalaka: “That the Diocesan Chancellor, Fr Jude Uwalaka is suspected of birth certificate forgery for purpose of gaining government employment…and retaining his clerical position in the diocese. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu urged that “that he [Fr Uwalaka] should be investigate [sic] to find explanation to the discrepancy in the fact that being born in 1952, he is above the retirement age of 65 as a senior lecturer in a Nigerian tertiary institution, his age mates have retired and he is still actively teaching.”
I did oblige Adolphus Amadi Azuogu by embarking on a little investigation on the matter. It is true that Fr Jude Uwalaka was born in 1952 and he is still teaching as a senior lecturer, being the position he was given when he was hired by Federal University of Technology Owerri [FUTO]. It is the same age he is actively working with today and in all his available documents in the Church and university. But contrary to the satanic allegations of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu, Fr Uwalaka is not still teaching because he forged his birth certificate. He is still teaching because his credentials and publications had long been assessed and approved for the professorial cadre which puts his retirement age at 70 years. It is left for the university to make her pronouncement when she likes but the reality remains the same and in accord with the practice in Nigeria.
What is withholding Fr Uwalaka from attaining his new position is nothing but the different practices and traditions of the various universities in Nigeria. In universities like Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and University of Calabar where former seminary professors were hired by universities, their credentials were quickly evaluated and they were automatically promoted to the rank of a professor. The truth and reality of Fr Uwalaka’s situation from my investigation is that he is still teaching as one in the professorial cadre. Compare the situation of Fr Uwalaka, a veteran seminary professor for more than twenty years who got into the Nigerian university system and is still humble enough to wear the tag of a senior lecturer and that of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu who “stole” the title of a professor and falsely presents himself everywhere with a title he does not have. Who is a forger of documents now? Obvious it is this criminal creep called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s False Embezzlement Accusation
The fiendish figure called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu commits a very egregious crime that is almost unpardonable when he falsely states “Bishop Ugorji …is getting increasingly nervous and belligerent, almost on a war footing whenever this issue of account is raised”. [that] he is not in any hurry to leave Ahiara Diocese and [that] he s looking for a way to continue to embezzlement.” As anybody could see, this is the voice of a devil. None of what he says applies to the Apostolic Administrator.
What is happening at present in Ahiara Diocese is an unfolding tragedy. Ahiara Diocese is under a very dangerous attack. A satanic agent is leading the war against the diocese. He seems ever determined to destroy the credibility of the Apostolic Administrator. But try as this devil may, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu will never be able to run Bishop Ugorji out of Ahiara Diocese. He will be soundly defeated by the voices of truth. He might eventually end up in jail or be made to pay damages that will last beyond his life time and those of his offspring. His saving grace could come by his pleading insanity. And this satanic agent called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is thoroughly insane.
In fact, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s ultimate target is the destruction of Ahiara Diocese. He is giving the impression to the Catholic world that Ahiara Diocese is still in crisis so that all efforts to return her to full governance will fail. Everyone can see that this is a real diabolic machination against Mbaise Catholics and the Catholic Church worldwide. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is a great enemy of the Catholic Church not only in Ahiara Diocese but throughout the world.
For the records, Bishop Ugorji is above board in matters regarding the finances of Ahiara Diocese. He has said it time without number that he has not removed any dime from the accounts of the diocese anywhere in the world. Anybody trying to charge him of embezzlement of funds he is to access is insane and an agent of the devil who is out to try to destroy the great diocese of Ahiara Mbaise. At any rate, Bishop Ugorji as Bishop and Administrator of Ahiara Diocese does not need the permission of anyone, not less the discredited and deluded Adolphus Amadi Azuogu to employ the funds of the diocese, if there is need, for the good, development and to fulfill the obligations of the diocese.
WE WILL NEVER ALLOW BISHOP UGORJI TO BE THE BISHOP OF AHIARA DIOCESE
In his diabolic blustery, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu makes this most bizarre statement. It is clear that the WE that WILL NEVER ALLOW BISHOP UGORJI TO BE THE BISHOP OF AHIARA DIOCESE applies to him and the legion of demons working with him in their delusional world of unreality. The WE does not apply to any Ahiara Diocesan priest or any lay person of Ahiara Diocese. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is nobody and represents no serious person in Ahiara Diocese. His boastful claim is empty and of no consequence. He has absolutely no standing in Ahiara Diocese to make such a boast. He will never be able to influence the decision and the direction of the majority of Mbaise Catholics in anything. The truth is there is absolutely zero appetite for any other form of crisis in the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara Mbaise. The Catholic faithful have already moved on. They have no more stomach for crisis in their faith. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu and his fellow desperadoes are living in the past of the people of Ahiara Diocese. He will never be a part of their future.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu states; “MBAISE WILL NOT ACCET ANY BISHOP TAT IS NOT FROM MBAISE BASED ON THE ESTABLISHED PRACTICE IN THE ONITSHA ECCLESIASTICAL PROVINCE OF APPOINTING A PRIEST FROM THE DIOCESE TO BE THE BISHOP OF THE DIOCESE” and “MBAISE WILL NEVER ACCEPT ANY PRIEST WHO IS NOT FROM THE LOCAL CHURCH OF AHIARA” are totally meaningless. The empty-head called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu does not speak for Mbaise people. He is a megalomaniac who suffers from an over-bloated self-image. All his statements in this regard are completely foolish and could only have come from a pagan that he has become since leaving the Catholic priesthood and the Catholic Church as well. A non-active and unfaithful Catholic like him has no opinion whatsoever on how and who the Holy Father appoints a bishop in any diocese in the world including Ahiara Diocese. In fact, in the old language of the missionaries, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is a “fallen Christian.”
It is not within the power of any Mbaise person, priest or lay, to determine who the Holy Father in his inspired wisdom will ultimately choose to head the Diocese of Ahiara Mbaise when Bishop Ugorji concludes his glorious apostolate in the diocese. But one thing is more than certain. If it pleases the Holy Father to choose Bishop Ugorji to become the next substantive bishop of Ahiara Diocese and he accepts, he will be given a tumultuous red-carpet welcome in Mbaise land. Mbaise people in their numbers will roll out their drums to welcome him. Even a billion satanic agents headed by Adolphus Amadi Azuogu will have no power whatsoever to stop such a glorious moment.
No priest of Ahiara Diocese in his right senses will ever mount another opposition to the will of the Holy Father. NEVER AGAIN shall a bishopric crisis erupt in Ahiara Diocese. Lessons have been learned in that regard. Both sides have learned their lessons very well. And the good Lord will never allow another crisis to erupt in our beautiful diocese. Anybody dreaming of another crisis in Ahiara Diocese is on his own and works for a devil like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu.
Ahiara Diocese is as open as any other dioceses of the Roman Catholic to bishops from any part of the world. We are not xenophobes. The Holy Father has an untrammeled power to appoint whosoever he wishes to become the bishop of Ahiara Diocese. The lesson which I hope has been well learned by both sides is that the Holy Father, the Pope has total power in the Roman Catholic Church to appoint bishops. The crisis in Ahiara Diocese has not changed that. The Pope appoints bishops and the faithful have to obey.
Our prayer as Mbaise Catholics is that those who recommend to the Holy Father the candidates to be appointed bishops will realize and take notice of the fact that the Catholic Church in Mbaise has come of age and deserves some respect. The Church of the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara Mbaise which has made some tremendous contributions to the universal mission of the Church cannot be kept at the periphery or at the margins of the Church in Nigeria or anywhere in the world. That lesson we hope has been well learned. And the respect Mbaise Catholicism craves will be accorded her always in future decisions concerning the bishopric of Ahiara Diocese.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu has a diabolic mission in Ahiara Diocese. He is a great enemy of the Catholic Church in Mbaise land. His whole mission is to incite crisis in the Church in Mbaise in order to become relevant again. He is practically nothing without a crisis in Ahiara Diocese that could turn him into a deluded false hero. He craves for crisis and disunity in the Church of the Mbaise people to boost his over bloated ego. He used Ahiara Diocese crisis to climb out of his psychological isolation and moral cocoon. He knows that when the crisis ends he will be thrown back to his former hell. That is why he has become a desperado trying to reignite the crisis. But we have learned our lessons.
My earnest prayer is that we the priests of Ahiara Diocese do not overstretch our luck. We must fly away with the great magnanimity the Holy Father has shown us in resolving the dangerous crisis that threatened to consume our diocese and our Catholic faith. My prediction is that any Ahiara Diocesan priest who allows himself to be deceived and deluded by this satanic agent and therefore succumbs to his temptation to try to incite crisis again in the diocese will regret coming anywhere near the Catholic priesthood in his lifetime.
The danger signal is all over the place. The Holy Father, Pope Francis did a great miracle in Mbaise land by letting us all off the hook. But whosoever attempts to put the hook right back around his or her neck will bear the full consequences of his or her actions. The wisest priests in Ahiara Diocese are those who could quickly notice the grave danger represented by the diabolic antics of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu and quickly separate themselves from him. Whoever decides to stick with this evil man may perish with him. Evil has only one end, namely destruction. Whoever in Mbaise land chooses to align himself or herself with the evil that is unfolding in Ahiara Diocese with the wicked incitement of a satanic agent called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu may end up very badly. To be forewarned is to be forearmed!
The Devil and the Canon Law
In the numerous essays Adolphus Amadi Azuogu has published to stoke up crisis in Ahiara Diocese he has quoted the provisions of the Canon Law several times. He pretends to be an authority in Canon Law. But he is not. He knows little or nothing about the provisions of the Canon Law which he quotes mostly out of contexts. He quotes the Canon Law like biblical fundamentalists.
Adophus Amadi Azuogu’s use of the Canon Law reminds me of Satan quoting the bible to Jesus at Jesus’ temptation. And like the devil who misuses bible passages to try to deceive Jesus and lead him astray, all that the satanic agent that is Adolphus Amadi Azuogu does with the provisions of the Canon Law is to misuse them so as to deceive and mislead those who have little knowledge of the law of the Church. He makes use of the Canon Law in a very diabolical way. He is a deceiver. Those who listen to him and follow his guidance will ultimately end up like him.
However, what tickles me the most whenever I glance through some of his essays is the fact that here is a chief breaker of the Canon Law quoting the Canon Law. This is beyond hypocrisy. It is a tragedy of no mean order. It is just like an illiterate felon quoting the law to discredit a judge. It is sheer tragicomedy. It is not possible to describe the tragic contradiction in the life of this satanic agent. He is a monster! This is a man who has systematically broken every canon in the Canon Law and yet sits in judgment on those he feels have broken the Canon Law. What a shameless hypocrite!
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is under a serious canonical censure bordering on latae sententiae. He eloped with a nun and contracted an illegitimate and a seriously impeded marriage with a religious in final vows. He is an outlaw of the highest order. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is clearly out of the Catholic Church. He is a fallen Christian and not in communion with the Catholic Church. For him to become an active member of the Catholic Church he has first to apply to the Holy Father and get laicized officially. Then he will embark in another process through which he could be granted some dispensations to resume his full Christian life. Having done none of these, he is clearly not in communion with the Catholic Church and has no active voice in it. Listening to him or taking an advice from is no different from taking an advice on church matters from a stranger in the church. Worse still, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is not far from being an atheist!!
Until Adolphus Amadi Azuogu restores and regularizes himself in the Catholic Church, he and the members of his family are technically living outside the Catholic Church. He is technically not a member of Catholic Church anywhere in the world. With his devious choices he is a self-excommunicated person. For him to be quoting the Canon Law to argue any matter is laughable. He is a completely discredited fellow who lives outside the Church and lacks the grace of membership of the Church. Whatever he states has no grace in it. That is why he spews lies against everybody because having committed all the crimes in the book and removed himself from the Church he is in fact living with the devil. And the proof of this is the lies and false accusations that stream from his diabolic world. Nobody who has any scintilla of the Spirit of God in him or her can tell lies and try to destroy the lives of innocent as this agent of the devil called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s “Pre-Buttal” of non-existent Rebuttal
In continuation of his tradition of spewing lies against innocent, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu tried in his last essay to “pre-but” an unwritten rebuttal claiming that the Apostolic Administrator “has been lobbying people intensively to write against me…” He claimed, the Apostolic Administrator has lobbied the laity council, the priests senate and the Presbyterium. I doubt that this so-called pedestrian professor understands the meaning of the word “lobby”. It shows that despite of his blustery and his stolen tag of a professor, he remains largely an ignorant man. The Apostolic Administrator would not need to “lobby” or, to induce his priests to rebut the foolish essays of Adolpphus Amadi Azuogu, or to do anything whatsoever to stimulate the pens of the eagerly awaiting priests of the diocese. All he would need to do was to command and order that such an action be embarked upon. If he wanted a rebuttal of his malicious essays he would have ordered it and there are many priests of the diocese who have been worrying him to allow them confront and defeat the satanic agent that is represented by Adolphus Amadi Azuogu.
But Bishop Ugorji has always been reluctant to allow or even discuss the issue of the rebuttal of the essays. The few occasions the issue came up, they were introduced by priests and not by the Apostolic Administrator himself. The reason why the Apostolic Administrator has been most reluctant to discuss the issue of rebuttal of the satanic essays of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is because he believes that anyone who engages a pig in a fight will come out dirty because a pig thrives in dirt. Bishop Ugorji, who is naturally a decent man, does not want to get dirty fighting with a pig. And as true pastor he is, he wanted to fight hatred with love and prayer. Bishop Ugorji is totally focused on the work he was sent to accomplish in Ahiara Diocese. He understands that Adolphus Amadi Azuogu represents a serious temptation of the devil on his ministry in Ahiara Diocese. And he does not want to be distracted. That is his stated choice. However, he also understands that Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is like a mad man with a sharp knife who has run amok in a market place. If he is not quickly wrestled down and the knife taken away from him, there might be a blood bath.
So after waiting for so long a time for the administrator to give the order to rebut the satanic verses of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu, some of us, like yours, truly have chosen to fight the satanic pig, get dirty with the pig and defeat the pig. The situation being introduced into the Catholicism of the Mbaise by a fiend like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu must not be allowed to continue. It must be confronted and dealt with no matter what. If we continue to allow the pig to jump around unchallenged, it will trample and damage all the gains of Catholicism in Mbaise land. So our only option is to fight it with all our might and to get dirty doing so.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s Insults on Bishop Callistus Onaga
Perhaps nothing demonstrates better the evil intention and the game-plan of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu than the random potshots he takes on some bishops of Nigeria who have practically nothing to do with the crisis that he contributed immensely in stoking in Ahiara Diocese. All the while his bogey men had been Cardinal Onaiyekan, Bishop Okpalaeke and the current Apostolic Administrator of the diocese, Bishop Ugorji. But suddenly he turns to some other bishops. His first victim is his so-called “friend” Bishop Callistus Onaga of Enugu, whom he falsely accuses of being against Mbaise people and lacks a spirit of forgiveness. Nothing in this world could be further from the truth. Bishop Callistus Onaga belongs to my class set, the 1987 set. He has always been known as a first-class gentleman. He is somebody everybody loves to be around. He has no time to keep malice. It is well known in our class of 1987 that his best friends, even till this very moment, are all from Mbaise. For Adolphus Amadi Azuogu to calumniate Bishop Callistus Onaga, a simply great gentleman and a priest and a bishop worthy of emulation, shows only one thing, namely, that he is totally possessed by some evil spirits. He is on rampage!
Foolishly Adolphus Amadi Azuogu boasts of how he passed a German language examination before his so-called friend, and now Bishop Onaga. When I read that part of his essay I knew for sure that we have some great problems in Ahiara Diocese having such loose-cannon of a lunatic as a citizen of Mbaise land. Who does not go through some hard time studying some foreign languages? At Marquette University in Milwaukee Wisconsin, I got by my advanced French language examination but failed Advanced German Language examination three times before I could scrape through to continue my studies. But today, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu who claims to have studied the same discipline with me namely, New Testament, does not have one-third of my publications in the field. Despite his claim of a fictitious professorial title, his name is not listed in any known data base of New Testament scholars. He is just a foul-mouthed lunatic who has nothing but insults to pour on church dignitaries. He is just a megalomaniac and a narcissist.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is a Self-Confessed Demon
One of the subtexts to the insults he unjustly poured on Bishop Onaga, is that he indirectly revealed his true identity as that of a demon. Listen to him address Bishop Onaga: “he [Bishop Onaga] knows that I am not the fictional ‘demon’ that some of them would want you to believe that I am.” “And you [Bishop Onaga] know tht I have been an honourable man and not a ‘demon.” “Your [Bishop Onaga] friend ‘Rabbi’ was not a demon then and is not one now.”
There is something powerfully revelatory about Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s repeated denial that he is a demon. The truth is he is in fact a demon. As we will try to demonstrate later, right from his birth he has been intermingling with demons. His family was a worshipper of a demon called Amadioha [Thunder deity or god]. His parents who were not Christians dedicated him at birth to the demon called Amadioha. He has Amadioha as his middle name showing a personal allegiance to the demon.
The doctoral dissertation he defended at University of Bonn, Germany was titled Demonology or Demons in the Apocalypse or Book of Revelation. And ever since he became a priest his life has paralleled that of a demon that he is dedicated to. It is doubtful whether one can study demons without undergoing some demonic rituals and learning some satanic attitudes.
It was this consideration of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s perpetual enterprise with demons that informed the choice of the title of this rebuttal. He is somebody who is very familiar with demons. From what he does now and his defamatory abuses on Church authorities, one can see that he is acting out what the Book of Revelation says in Rev 13:5-8. The beast was given speech and it spoke boastful and blasphemous words against God”.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu and the Other Nigerian Bishops.
In his satanic campaign to discredit Nigerian bishops, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu proffers unsolicited advice to the Nuncio to Nigeria, His Excellency, Archbishop Guido Filipazzi, on how to fill what he describes as the impending vacancy in the Archdiocese of Abuja. In his usual satanic ways he unloads on such great personalities as Bishop Kukah and Archbishop Kaigama the immediate past CBCN President. He hopes and advises the Nuncio to “spring a surprise and the nation a real spiritual leader.”
When I read the advice of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu to the Nuncio, I chuckled. How can a satanic agent, a devil give a sound advice? It is just not possible. He absolutely lacks any credibility to advise even a little child preparing for First Holy Communion on any church matter. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is not a Catholic. He is not Christian for that matter. He is a freelancing pagan.
In my own thinking, the only surprise the Nuncio can spring when it comes to filling any bishopric vacancy in a Nigerian Catholic diocese is to listen and take any word from a lunatic like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu seriously. He is a devil whose only agenda is to destroy Catholicism both in his home diocese of Ahiara Mbaise and Nigeria as a whole. He is not a friend of the Catholic Church to give any Church leader any advice.
Take for instance the way he treats the Eagle on the Iroko in Nigerian Catholicism being Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah. Only a lunatic would think that Bishop Kukah’s efforts to minister to the elite of Nigeria are wrong. Bishop Kukah’s kind of apostolate is in fact needed in Nigeria and elsewhere. There must be some church leaders imbued with the charisma and the courage to talk truth to power, to wade into the world of the powerful and present the gospel of Jesus Christ to them even with their presence among them alone. Over the years, Bishop Kukah has been an apostle to the politicians and academics of Nigeria. Just as St Paul was appointed to evangelize the gentiles I think Kukah was chosen by God to bring the gospel to the politicians and elite of Nigeria in general. He should be massively supported and not foolishly criticized by satanic agents like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu who would rather have the Nigerian Catholic Church fall apart.
Bishop Hassan Kukah has been a source of pride to the Nigerian Church in the area of the evangelization of the politicians and elite in general. That kind of apostolate is absolutely necessary in present-day Nigeria. And the way he goes about it is laudable. I remember asking him while we were in Abidjan why he always dressed as a priest in every assignment he has to do with or for the government. He responded by telling me that he has to represent the Catholic Church and Jesus Christ everywhere he goes. And moreover, he said that everything he has and owns came from the Catholic Church and because of the Catholic priesthood. And that he had no other choice than to represent truthfully and fully that which created him and brought it into prominence. Who can beat this kind of conviction?
Bishop Kukah is a great shepherd and a prophet who can fit into any diocese in Nigeria with ease. There is no diocese in Nigeria where he will not be a perfect fit. It is unfair to malign such a great person like Bishop Matthew Kukah who has brought a lot of honour and credibility to the Nigerian Catholic Church. We need more of bishops of fearless and vocal bishops like Bishop Kukah and not less of them. If it is pleases the Holy Father to assign him to Abuja Archdiocese whenever there will be a vacancy at see that will be one heck of a great choice.
This also applies to Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama. He is by all standards an accomplished bishop and excellent shepherd. He has distinguished himself in all the assignments he has handled in the Nigerian Church. Who can impugn the integrity, the level-headedness and the maturity with which he ran the Nigerian Ecclesiastical Province for more than six years? Who can question the loyalty of Archbishop Kaigama to the Catholic Church in general and the Holy Father in particular?
But such a satanic agent like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu who does not wish the Catholic Church any good will only fish for negative things to say about some of these bishops that have worked really hard to steady the ship of the Nigerian Catholic Church. If the Holy Father wishes to transfer Archbishop Kaigama from Abuja if and when the so-called vacancy appears in the Abuja Archdiocese that will obviously be another fantastic choice. Let us not follow the sinful ways of satanic agents like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu. Let us build our leaders up and not tear them down.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is a devil. Any sensible person who cares to read or to listen to what he has to offer is under a serious obligation to accept exactly the opposite of everything says and believes. He is not a good person. His thinking is devilish and he has a possessed mind. Why would anybody take any advice from a possessed human being?
Unmasking a Demonic Imposter!
After going through the highly distasteful diatribe of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu which appears every bit like the storyline of a horror monster movie, one would be remise not to ask: who is this kind of a being called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu? Where does he come from? What type of a family does he hail from? What were his early days like? What was the nature of his upbringing? And so forth and so on! Here is some hint from our little investigation.
Birth
Adolphus Azuogu as he as earlier called was born into the Azuogu of Amorji Village in Ogbe Nne Isii Ogbe Ahiara, Ahiazu Mbaise LGA, Imo State Nigeria in the early half of the 1950s. He was not born into a typical Catholic family of those days. As events would reveal later, his mother was not a Catholic. She was a member of a white garment congregation called Olumba Olumba. This group was not and has never been a Christian sect as they regard their founder, Olumba Olumba Obu from somewhere around Calabar Cross River State as a god. And members do worship him as their god.
His father was not your typical Catholic. His funeral would bare his hidden affiliation from the earliest time of his life. Some members of the Claretian Missionary Fathers Congregation can testify to what happened on the day of the funeral of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s father. As they gathered, some hooded people emerged from nowhere, scattered the gathered Catholics and took over the funeral ceremonies with their own pagan rituals. The priests mainly from the Claretian Missionary Fathers [CMF] scampered out of the place and ran away. This opened their eyes to the pagan home environment of their brother priest. That is the portrait of the couple that produced the demonic monster called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu.
ii. Early Life
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s early life is somewhat shrouded in mystery. He appeared to have had his primary education at the primary school of Ogbe Nne Isii nearest to his village of Amorji Ogbe. For the next level of his education Adolphus Amadi Azuogu began his secondary school education at Community Secondary School Ogbe Ahiara which was then St Patrick’s Secondary School Ogbe. But immediately after the civil war the school was taken over by the Nigerian government and renamed Community Secondary School Ogbe Ahiara like every other school in the then East Central State of Nigeria. It has recently been returned to the management of the Education Board of Ahiara Diocese which has since restored its original name as St Patrick’s Secondary School Ogbe Ahiara. While a student at Community Secondary School Ogbe Ahiara, the would be Adolphus Amadi Azuogu remained simply Adolphus Azuogu as some of his former classmates have claimed. That is to say, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu attended a secular secondary school and was not availed of the basics of Catholic education. From all information he appeared like a very quiet and pious young man during his secondary school days.
iii. A Claretian Seminarian
After his secondary education he felt called to the Catholic priesthood. He sent an application to the newly established congregation in Owerri Diocese at that time known as The Claretian Missionary Fathers, [CMF]. This congregation was brought to Nigeria immediately after the Nigeria-Biafra civil war by the first Nigerian member of the congregation, Fr Christian Ihedoro, CMF. With his admission into the congregation, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu became one of the earlier members of the Nigerian community of the congregation.
From available information, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s training as a Claretian seminarian took off without any hitches. It would progress smoothly for a while. But as the young Adolphus Azuogu began to have a taste of philosophy he gradually became radicalized. His language gradually changed from that of a pious seminarian which he had been for a while to that of an incipient agnostic or a bourgeoning atheist.
The first sign that something might be going awry in his life was when he added “Amadioha” as his middle name. But he had to shorten it to “Amadi” to make it less jarring to people. But it was not lost on anybody the implication of the name “Amadioha.” This was the most vicious, heartless and take-no-prisoners-kind of a deity in Igbo traditional religion. Families that were associated with the demon or deity “Amadioha” as their family deity were feared by almost everybody. Such families were known because they would either have “Amadioha” as their ancestral name or a member of the family would have to bear it as a personal name. Long before the arrival of Christianity “Amadioha” was one of the most dreaded demons or deities in Igbo traditional religion. Anybody who bore the name “Amadioha” was always feared as a priest or agent of the dreaded demon. Till today people scar and intimidate others with the invocation of the name “Amadioha.”
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s addition of “Amadioha” as his middle name marked a significant turning point in his life as a young seminarian in Nekede Owerri. It raised not a few eyebrows among his colleagues and classmates. Not a few people believed in their hearts that with his adoption of the name “Amadioha” as a part of his name he had recovered and reconnected himself to the family deity and perhaps had made the deity his patron spirit.
As a result, many people had wondered about what was going on in the life of the young man now called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu whose actions had suddenly changed from that of a pious seminarian to weird-looking individual. Also to mark his new transformation he started to keep some bushy and unkempt beards that gave him the name “Rabbi”. He was not called “Rabbi” because of his love for the Sacred Scriptures as many people have been misled to believe but because of his bushy beards that made him appear like a Hasidic Jewish Rabbi.
Many took notice of the fact that the new Adolphus Amadi Azuogu had become more abrasive, argumentative and a little lacking in the basic facts of the Catholic faith and doctrine. He had become more of a skeptic and a cynic on religious matters. He practically lost faith in the basic truths of Christianity.
Iv. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s Deferred Ordination
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s strange lifestyle would persist until it was time for his diaconate ordination. His confreres pleaded with his superior then, Fr Christian Ihedoro CMF not to allow his diaconate ordination to go ahead as his ways were strange. By that time Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s lifestyle had become completely eccentric to the extent that his confreres believed that he had lost faith in the Catholic Church.
As a result of the plea of many of his confreres, Fr Ihedoro would deny Adolphus Amadi Azuogu diaconate ordination for a few years. However, his superior being a man filled with human kindness and mercy had a change of heart and allowed his diaconate ordination to go ahead. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu was ordained a deacon and subsequently proceeded to become a Catholic priest in the Congregation of the Claretian Missionary Fathers [CMF].
But as was predicted by his confreres who pleaded for a discontinuation of his ordinations both as a deacon and as priests, Fr Adolphus Amadi Azuogu became a veritable disaster immediately he was pronounced a Catholic priest. His celebration of the Eucharist, his homilies and even his administration of the other sacraments became an example of the work of somebody who had not come into the Catholic priesthood with the right intention. It was obvious to everyone that the priest, Fr Amadi Azuogu came into the priesthood with an agenda that bordered on the destruction of this sacred institution.
v. Fr Adolphus Amadi Azuogu In Rome
As the Claretian Congregation began to make a rapid growth in Nigeria, there was the need to establish some formation institutions that would cater for the training of their seminarians. As a result some priests who were considered to have the capability were sent to Rome to study some disciplines that would be necessary for the take off of their formation houses and seminaries. Fr Adolphus Amadi Azuogu was one of the few priests accorded that honour. The understanding which was also the policy of the congregation was that they would study fast and get their licentiate degree and then return home to teach in their institutions. This was the standard policy of most religious congregations both in Nigeria and elsewhere in the world.
But immediately Fr Adolphus Amadi Azuogu completed his licentiate from the Pontifical Biblical Institute a.k.a. Biblicum he was asked to return home but he vehemently refused. All kinds of people pleaded with him to obey the authorities of his congregation and return home to help in the formation of the Claretian seminarians. But he adamantly refused. On learning what was happening with one of their foreign priests resident in their community in Rome, the Superior General of the Claretian Missionaries Fathers Congregation stepped in and ordered him to return home. But he refused and insulted the Superior General with all sorts of unprintable words. He called him a racist.
Having antagonized the Claretian Community in Rome, Fr Adolphus Amadi Azuogu ran away to Germany without the permission of the authorities of his congregation both in Rome and in Nigeria. He began a doctorate degree in Sacred Scriptures at the University of Bonn. While studying in his university he would begin an elaborate campaign for money claiming to be helping the poor people in Nigeria. With his elaborate campaign for money, Fr Adolphus Amadi Azuogu would amass a huge sum of money with which he lived a flamboyant lifestyle whenever he traveled back to Nigeria. One of the projects he told his German sponsors that he was executing in Nigeria was the building of St Paul’s Church Ogbe Nne Isii, the church of his community.
The way the funds for that Church were handled has remained a very controversial issue in Ogbe Nne Isii community till today. Those funds have never been properly accounted for till today. Perhaps the forensic auditors Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is calling for should begin by looking into the funds he claimed to have sunk in the construction of St Paul’s Church Ogbe Nne Isii. From news out there, the German sponsors of the project are still demanding a full accounting of the huge sum of money that was sunk into the project. The only thing that seems to have stopped their demand was when Adolphus Amadi Azuogu left the Catholic priesthood and the Catholic Church.
From the foregoing, it is clear that Adolphus Amadi Azuogu never had faith in the Catholic Church and has disobedience as his second nature. So anyone insulting and abusing Church authorities will naturally be his special client.
vi. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s Doctoral Thesis on Demon
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu would conclude his studies at University of Bonn with a doctoral thesis or dissertation that more or less formalized his relationship with the demon, Amadioha, he got reunited with in his family. His thesis was entitled Demonology in the Book of Revelation or Apocalypse. Many people who saw the title of his thesis remarked that he had made it official that he was in communion with the demons. It was not by chance that he chose to study demons in the book of Apocalypse. With all the exciting themes and topics in the Johannine tradition of the New Testament, isn’t strange that what excited Adolphus Amadi Azuogu was the theme DEMON? But that should not have been surprising to anyone who knows his family history? Right from his lineage they are a people who regularly commune with demons. His thesis on Demonology in the Apocalypse was in fact an indirect announcement that his entire life was intertwined with demons. And since that time his life has one way or the other paralleled those of demons.
vii. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu as a Heretic!
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu would complete his studies in Germany, and through the mediation of some of the Claretian brothers and the good disposition of the new leadership of the congregation in Nigeria at that time returned home. When he made it back home, he was pardoned and reabsorbed by the Claretian Congregation in Nigeria. He was assigned to teach New Testament Studies at the Spiritan International School of Theology [SIST] Attakwu Enugu which the Claretian Congregation had adopted as the institution of choice to train their theology students. When Adolphus Amadi Azuogu began his teaching career at SIST Attakwu he almost began immediately to propagate his heretical teachings. He had his very strange and unorthodox ways of interpreting the Sacred Scriptures. His heresy would become full blown when in one of his tracks he allegedly denied the virgin birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary. ADOLPHUS AMADI AZUOGU DENIED THE VIRGINITY OF THE BLESSED MOTHER MARY. Subsequently his heretical teaching allegedly attracted the attention of the Nigerian Church hierarchy including the then Nuncio to Nigeria. The Claretian leadership was invited by the Nuncio and his heresy nearly put the Claretian congregation in trouble with the Church And before anyone would realize what was happening Adolphus Amadi Azuogu was sent packing from SIST. His teaching career was brought to a shameful and disastrous end. This is the type of a person who wants to decide who becomes the bishop of Ahiara Diocese or a bishop anywhere in the Catholic Church. A bishop favoured or chosen by a heretic like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu will undoubtedly be a heretical bishop!
viii. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu Elopes with a Nun
Having been shamefully dismissed from the Spiritan Theological Institute at Attakwu, Adolphus Amadi Azuogu there was no more future for him as a teacher of sacred scriptures in any Catholic institution. Then he began to implement a plan he always had in mind, namely to elope with a nun. Right from his days in Germany Adolphus Amadi Azuogu had planned to leave the Catholic priesthood with a reverend sister. He approached not a few Mbaise sisters studying in Germany for marriage. Many of them he tried to seduce with a promise of building them some houses in their family homes. A few sisters he had approached turned him down with some serious rebuke. Many of them could not stand listening to him on the matter even for one nano-second. But he continued to persevere until he finally settled on the terribly confused one with whom he fled to the United States of America using a passport that had identified him and his so-called wife as a Catholic priest and a Catholic. Their entire existence is that of lies and deceit.
This is the short story of the demonic impostor who has become the satanic accuser of the Bishops of Nigeria. His life in America is in tatters. He is like the demon he wrote about in the Book of Revelation. He has become the angry dragon who is pushed down from heaven and is angrily looking for people to destroy. This is what has become of the life of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu. He is the angry dragon. He wants to destroy as many leaders of the Catholic Church as possible. He is living out the hell he is going through in his illegitimate marriage.
There is no doubt that Adolphus Amadi Azuogu’s unauthorized and non-sacramental marriage has turned his life in America into a living hell. Both he and his illegitimate wife excommunicated themselves from the Catholic Church and they are paying the price with their anger-filled marriage. I pity his so-called wife. She might have found out of late that she had married a demon. Who can live peacefully in this life with a demon like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu? It is impossible to live a happy married life with a man who embodies a wicked demon.

Adolphus Amadi Azuogu: A Clannish Hatchet man!
When all is said and done, there remains one big elephant in the room in the crisis Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is desperate to restart in Ahiara Diocese. That big elephant is called “Clannishness”. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is like a hired assassin, a hatchet man who is under the employ of an ultra-clannish ring that wants to have it its way in Ahiara Diocese. The few elements that constitute the members of this ultra-clannish group try to remain faceless by hiding behind Adolphus Amadi Azuogu whom they have rented to be doing their dirty work of destroying innocent people’s lives.
The blustery of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is like a smokescreen hiding this little group of people. Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is the mouthpiece of this vicious ultra-clannish group that is intent on destroying Ahiara Diocese. Their strategy is to use intimidation and blackmail to force the Apostolic Administrator to do their bidding. They have an agenda which has nothing to do with Catholicism. It is to prop up the members of their little enclave and marginalize the rest of Mbaise people. Every Ahiara Diocesan priest knows what this vicious group wants and what their contention is.
There is a section of the diocese and some particular individuals this ultra-clannish group would not want to hold some key positions in Ahiara Diocese. And that is why they are fighting to the death to push some individuals out from the positions they now occupy. This is what all this brouhaha being instigated by Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is all about.
Adolphus Amadi Azuogu is technically a hired assassin and a killer of a sort. He wants to destroy people because he was hired to do so and has been paid to do just that by the ultra-clannish elements in Ahiara Diocese. If the members of this little group ever have their way, Ahiara Diocese will never know peace forever.
Conclusion
Having seen the complete profile of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu, can anybody of conscience listen and believe his antics. He is an embodiment of everything that can be evil about the human nature. He is a heretic, an ex-communicated person, a scumbag of lies and all other vices, etc. The full implication of his middle name is that he is a demon devotee. Anybody who listens and follows his advice becomes an agent of the evil one.
There is absolutely nothing good that can come from the mouth of a treacherous fellow like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu. His whole agenda is to keep Ahiara Diocese in perpetual crisis and to destroy whoever is sent here to help Ahiara Diocese recover her troubles. He is therefore an agent of the devil. Nothing good can ever come to Ahiara Diocese and to the Mbaise people in general from a person who is completely wedded to the demons like Adolphus Amadi Azuogu.
Any Mbaise person who follows the direction of Adolphus Amadi Azuogu may not make it to heaven. He is evil and does not see anything good in the leaders chosen by God to lead his Church on earth. Mbaise people, please, run, run away from a man called Adolphus Amadi Azuogu. He is an embodiment of demons and will lead you astray.
